Our day consisted of talking to some of the service users over a cup of tea and interacting with some of the service users in the dance class. We were also invited to take part in the dance class next time we return. The day was very successful as we got such a positive response, not only from Age UK but also in terms of questionnaires we managed to get filled out. |

Tudor Road - Another part of our Diabetes research project was to explore a variety of ways to obtain more questionnaires from the community. Door-knocking was one of the first methods to be explored. We started our door knocking exercise on Tudor Road which is also known for being the longest road of terraced houses in Europe. We also managed to complete several of the smaller side streets off Tudor Road as well as Tudor Road itself. We received a welcoming response from the residents and managed to get several questionnaires filled out too. Door-knocking proved to be successful and will continuously be used as a helpful aid in our research. |
